Research has shown that digestive problems can really vary from person to person. One person may experience chest pains or burning discomfort. Others may suffer from a stomach disorder that is causing bloating and reflux on a regular basis. Still others may be experiencing bowel problems that are contributing to their reflux. There are many different things that can cause reflux!
As you can imagine certain types of problems have their own unique solutions to correct the underlying cause. In other words, the steps you take to rid yourself of bloating are not the same steps you would follow, to relieve your heartburn or constant burping.
There is not one single solution, or magic pill that will solve all of your digestive problems. You must treat what is causing YOUR particular problems before you will experience permanent relief. And that's a fact!
In other words you have to treat the "Root Cause" and not just your symptoms, if you want a permanent solution for your Acid Reflux, Gerd or Heartburn.
When people experience reflux or heartburn, what do they do? They take a little pill and it clears up! Right? WRONG!
They just treated the symptoms, but the problem is still there. Unless you treat the root or underlying cause of your digestive troubles you will still have them. You have not solved your problem.
IT'S STILL THERE, just waiting, until conditions are right for another heartburn flare-up, and more pain.
Most people are not aware of the damage that chronic heartburn really can do to their body. They become so accustomed to their symptoms they think it is just simply a part of growing older, or something they have to live with for the rest of their lives. So they continue to treat their problems the way they always have and sadly, drugs become a part of their daily routine, when it really doesn't have to be that way!
In fact people who have been diagnosed with Barrett's Esophagus usually have been suffering from acid reflux for years. They have been taking antacids or PPI's because that is what they have been advised to do, to treat their problems. All this time they have only been treating the symptoms, while their esophagus continues to sustain even more damage!
